    • Funky Music is a finer-boned finer-fleeced alpaca with fantastic early statistics as displayed further down the page. It is speculated that finer alpacas will utimately produce superior fleeces, tending towards their vicuna heritage and similar to the merino vs other sheep breeds. Funky makes a very good argument for that case.

    Bloodline

    His sire is Stoney Meadows Genesis, a multiple Supreme Champion and in my opinion a very under-rated sire in his own right. His own sire is National Supreme Champion Homestead Farm Apollo so it is a very impressive male lineage.

    His dam, Rustic Dawn Elsa, is a daughter of Supreme Fleece Champion Rustic Dawn Columbus. Funky is Elsa's first cria while her second is Rustic Dawn Sven, who is now at stud after a very successful multi Supreme show career and now co-owned with Shamarra Alpacas. Further her full-sister Rustic Dawn Eponine has also produced 2 awesome cria in Rustic Dawn Fantine and Rustic Dawn Marius. It is a highly productive line.

    Funky is very lightly shown, mostly due to his lighter physique putting him behind the eight-ball in the show ring despite his superior fleece. I can only recall 3 times shown but as an intermediate he did win Champion Intermediate Male against very strong opposition.

    • Funky's early fleece statistics are what sets him aside and worthy of his stud male status. Compare with anything out there and you will be impressed! Add in he is a half-brother to RD Sven makes him an attractive option.
